Work environment and safety

The Department of Chemistry conducts extensive work with the work environment and safety. The systematic work with the work environment at the department is also part of the Kemicentrum's systematic work with the work environment.

A large part of the Department of Chemistry's work with the work environment is coordinated with the other departments at Kemicentrum (Department of Chemical Engineering and Department of Food Technology, Engineering and Nutrition). In case of acute incidents related to the work environment and safety, contact the Environmental Health & Safety Coordinator at Kemicentrum. . Non-urgent fault reports are made on the Kemicentrum's website.

General safety instructions

Kemicentrum's general safety instructions are an introduction to current legislation in Sweden and should be seen as a guide. The safety instructions contain links to relevant sections of the legislation. The purpose of the regulations is to minimize the risks of ill health and accidents associated with laboratory work.

Kemicentrum's general safety instructions concern all departments and applies to everyone who has activities at Kemicentrum. The safety regulations are available on the Kemicentrum website.
