Head of department

The head of department has an executive function and is responsible for the day-to-day operations. The head of department's areas of responsibility and powers are governed by the Faculty of Science's delegation order and the Faculty of Engineering's work and delegation order. According to the delegation, the head of department must lead and develop the activities and be responsible for the department's resources. The head of department, in turn, can further delegate certain tasks.

The assistant and deputy head of department have special responsibility for undergraduate education, but also replace the head of department when necessary.
The assistant head of department has a special responsibility for equality and equal treatment work at the department.

The head of department's working group

The head of department's working group act as support and advisors to the prefect. The group meets on Tuesdays.

The head of department's working group consists of the prefect, deputy and assistant heads of department and the department's administrative manager.
